From Our Community:
I enthusiastically recommend MacDonald Academy of Martial Arts. I have seen first hand how their passion and commitment have positively affected the lives of hundreds of families. Their dedication to developing strong character values in their students make them an asset to our community.
—Ron Dean, President of Watertown Savings Bank
In my own work with children, two factors stand out as essential to their healthy psychological development: their self-regulatory competency and their willingness to take risks in order to grow and learn. The skilled and sensitive work of Brian and Tara MacDonald is designed to help children with these two challenges.
I have known the MacDonalds and their work for years and frequently recommend them to parents. Their studio is exceptional in many ways. First among those is that they recognize each child as his or her own unique person. Next, is that the MacDonalds use that respectful recognition to help each child create his or her personal goals and then work to achieve them. The MacDonalds are a great asset to our community.

From Our Families:
MacDonald Academy of Martial Arts has helped develop our daughter into a strong, confident nine-year-old child. Not only has she gained strength, power, agility, and speed with her karate skills to the level of brown belt, but more importantly she has been taught life lessons/skills of perseverance, integrity, self-discipline, self-confidence, and physical fitness/health.
Our daughter bgan training at the age of four and continues to be committed to achieving her goal of black belt.
We could not be more impressed with Brian and Tara MacDonald and this karate school for all ages!
—Wendy and Dan Kraft, parents
