I recently read these two essays and wanted to share because they relate so well to the principles of Krav Maga.
Krav Maga is not specifically mentioned, but the first essay most certainly draws from the same playbook.
“The Truth about Violence: 3 Principles of Self-Defense”
The second essay is apropos of all the groundfighting we’ve been training these past few weeks.
“The Pleasures of Drowning”

i think i might really like this guy’s book–can’t do a whole lot which is useful, but certainly it couldn’t hurt to read about the grim truth of what life is like for all the other animals…someone is forever searching you out to kill and eat you. you are busy forageing and chewing up smaller animals for fodder, too, so maybe it seems more natural but most of the goals remain the same. want what someone else has? take it. forgive me for this but has anyone read The Three Billy Goats Gruff? somebody scrabbles up from under the dark underbelly of the bridge to catch you and eat you for supper? show them they’re mistaken–send em’ tumbling down the mountainside to the rocks below.

About the pleasure of drowning article:
After seeing Master Ryuken being punched repeatedly in the face, his disciples understood what the Harold Camping’s disciples felt on May 22.
Some recalculations are needed!

Yeah, sometimes rational thinking hurts like a punch (or several) in the face… 😉
