We will be conducting a Level 1 test on Friday, September 16, 7pm. Depending on the number of students, the test typically takes 2-3 hours with minimal breaks. If you have trained all of the Level 1 curriculum and would like to test, please let one of the instructors know or post a comment below.
All students are welcome to watch the testing or participate alongside the students testing. Even if you’re not being graded, the test is an excellent review of the curriculum as well as an intense physical and mental challenge.
Review the Level 1 Curriculum (printer friendly) and bring any questions to class so that we may help you best prepare for the test.
Good luck!

i was excited to test, but in reviewing the curriculum, i see that i’ve never had wrist releases and did ground fighting only once. would be great if those those were reviewed before the 16th.
Patrick says
We will cover wrist releases, but they will not be tested. The groundfighting portion of the test will be to demonstrate the following sequence: Fall, move in a tactical position (Back or Side Position), kick to create space, get up.
Be sure to print out the curriculum and bring it to class. Any of the instructors will be happy to help with any questions. If there are enough students testing, we will devote class time to review.
